ADHD Family Patterns Map
When ADHD is identified later in life, it can feel like the past suddenly has new language.
Old memories may shift. Family stories may start to look different. Patterns around time, emotions, routines, organisation, conflict, sensitivity, burnout, creativity, humour and overwhelm may begin to make more sense
You might find yourself wondering:
-
Was I really lazy, or was I overwhelmed?
-
Was my parent difficult, or unsupported?
-
Why do the same patterns seem to repeat across generations?
-
What labels have I carried that no longer fit?
-
What strengths have also travelled through my family?
-
What do I want to stop carrying?
-
What do I want to carry forward?
The ADHD Family Patterns Map was created as a gentle reflection tool for late-identified adults, questioning adults, parents, partners and families who are beginning to see ADHD as part of a bigger intergenerational story.
This workbook gives you space to explore what may have been misunderstood, what may have been inherited, and what can be met with more compassion now.
